Factions

Tech/Religion Sector

Technocrats are the apex predator of GTopia. Due to their ability to spy on other factions through the city grid, they are very hard to sneak up on or ambush. They often work together in large packs. They believe everything should be centralized with zero privacy.

  • This faction has ears everywhere all over the city and access to the city's control grid.

  • Each member can access any private terminal in the city.

Raver Sector

Humans were the first inhabitants of this planet. They have a deep connection and history with the planet and the stars. Humans have expanded deep into space and brought back other races to live in peace and harmony on Earth. They believe their survival relies on the world maintaining a mixture of decentralized and centralized technology. With a mixture of private and public technologies. The main fortess of the Raver stronghold is impenitrible or so they say...

  • Humans have the ability to remote view, locate targets, and see the future which gives them the ability to change it.

  • Humans have seers that can tell when an attack is coming, always recommended to have one in your team.

Alien Sector

When the aliens first got to earth they started their own version of the internet and started buying up natural resources. The humans are concerned for national security. Although, the aliens are the best and most efficient at getting the most from our resources. They don't mind centralized or decentralized but they want it all in the public domain.

  • Aliens have superior technology and have control over the massive hydro tower that controls the power grid for the city.

  • Aliens have reduced utilities for all properties and mining facilities owned.

Elven Sector

The elves were found on Kepler 69. The queen is fond of the lush landscape of earth. She feels at home with nature around them and has moved the colony to Earth to set up an outpost. They have a knack for gardening and brewing various potions. They don't fully understand cryptocurrency yet but they understand it's the currency for this new planet.

  • The elves grow the best buds hands down. No other faction can compete with their concentrates.

  • No cost for potion creation.

  • Can make chemistry equipment for a fraction of the cost than other factions.

Pirate Sector

The Pirates have many talents. Being some of the most resourceful of all the factions. The pirates don't mind stealing from big corporations but shy away from getting mom-and-pop-type shops. They believe everything should be decentralized.

  • Pirates specialize in hacking hardware and vehicles.

  • Production of ale and whiskey.

  • Pirates can use all body modifications.

Mutant Sector

After the space needle was erected aliens were able to come down and breed with humans. This resulted in a hybrid creature that wasn't accepted by either race. Effectively starting their own cult after their leader and his wife escaped with many mutant children long ago. They don't mind centralized or decentralized but they want it all in the private domain.

  • Mutants all have extra life points.

  • Mutants are impervious to radiation.
